I bought this dress as a party dress for my 5 year old unicorn's birthday party based on the outfit description and photos in the reviews. First let me say that this is an adorable dress. BUT, the skirt is one of those tulle drawstring panties with no lining. Therefore it is not suitable to be worn without something else underneath. It's ok, and we made up for it with a pair of roller shorts, but I'd say it's more in line with Halloween costume assembly than a dress you'll wear on the streets. You should also be aware that tape requires some manual preparation. It is a single continuous band sewn to the front of the dress. You'll either have to cut it off to tie like a spaghetti strap dress, or (which I did) measure the baby and sew each piece onto the back to make two tank top-like straps. I was expecting less work and a standard dress for the price charged. But my daughter really liked it so I'm not upset I bought it.
