We had it for two days before my daughter dropped it on the shaggy carpet and broke it into small pieces. At nearly $40, I expected it to be more durable than their $5 plastic stick.

Make sure you get Hermione Granger's wand from the box of Ollivander's wands. This is the most authentic replica of the wand and box. And while you'll notice to the untrained eye that it doesn't say "Hermione Granger" anywhere on the box, that's because the real box wouldn't have her name on it anyway. They have preserved the true authenticity of both the box and the wand design. Your child will definitely feel that this is a real item.

This is a children's toy, but I am tired of receiving goods originating in MADE IN CHINA. Poor quality crap. Most of them break within a very short time, fall apart or just stop working. If you write a bad review, you'll be repeatedly followed up with offers of money asking you to remove the bad review in exchange for a good review. NO WAY! I simply can no longer recommend any MADE IN CHINA product in good conscience. We need a MADE IN USA category.

We were hesitant to order this wand as some reviewers reported receiving a gold wand instead of the brownish green wand in the photo. So happy to report that we received exactly what is pictured! Feels solid in hand. Looks authentic like the original I bought from Ollivanders in Diagon Alley in 1905. Although unicorn hair might not be as strong as mine, my daughter still managed to play pranks with her wand. She will fit if she comes to Hogwarts by train. I love, I love, I love!

I bought this wand for my 8 year old's birthday. She is a HUGE fan of Hermione and has wanted her wand for a few years. The packaging is nice, not flimsy and not cheap. Oh my god I love this wand! :) Nice green box with beige parchment inside. There is an Olivervanders logo on the side and a red ribbon on the packaging. When you open the box there is a certificate of authenticity and ribbons covering the wand, just like in the movie! The wand itself is great and even has some weight!
