I may not be a professional IT or streaming specialist, but I have some experience. Before explaining why I returned this product, please allow me to first explain my review. Technical support was very prompt from the first email sent to the seller. I tried what the instructions said to set up this device. Note that the included manual is printed very small, so I recommend using a magnifying glass. The seller's tech support has sent me various ways to communicate with the encoder, but to no avail. I tried everything on 3 computers, the result is the same. After 8 hours of trying I informed them that I will contact Revain for a refund and a refund/credit. One of the reasons I chose this encoder (H.264) was the overall great reviews. Let's face it, this is an electronic item, something CAN go wrong. What initially bothered me when opening the box was that there was absolutely NO padding to protect against drops, falls and anything else that could damage internal components through improper handling. Let's face it, UPS isn't the best company to handle all packages correctly. I'm sure this is a very good product in general but I have assured the seller that I would NOT be buying another product from them in the near future just because the padding was so poor for this item. I also offered the company my suggestions and they kindly said that they will do their best to implement these suggestions. Some of these offers included advertising for their products and website; Add a support page to your website so you can easily update the latest troubleshooting information. Finally, make the manual much easier to read and consider adding proper protection to your product to minimize storage damage for the customer. Since they were attentive to my concerns/suggestions, I promised them I would give them a fair rating for their professional customer service. I wouldn't discourage anyone from buying this product but until they can package their products safely I would be a little hesitant. Just my opinion!
