Powered by Noise Cancelling. I am hypersensitive to noises outside and inside the house. This fan blocks that noise and lets me sleep through the night. The fan arrived within a few weeks of ordering. There are a few bugs I need to read about. I've been using the fan for about 2 weeks. The fan turned off at night several nights in a row (the timer was not set). It was the first week. Haven't done that since. crossed fingers There were also a couple of days when we went into the bedroom during the day and the fan randomly came on, but neither of us turned it on. It hasn't happened since the first week either. The night light feature is nice, but I don't want or use it. Yesterday at 3:30 a.m. the light suddenly went on. The fan is an aesthetic upgrade on a Stanley Industrial floor fan that I have used for the past few years. I don't give up on the small mistakes mentioned above but wanted to share them. If not, I would definitely give five stars. TO UPDATE. 02/15/21 - The fan has been turning off and on again at night every night this week. I ended up switching to a backup app on my phone. Woke up again this morning to the fan mysteriously turning on. I'm throwing in the towel here. Too bad most things aren't built to last these days.
