DO NOT BUY: Good Looking BUT TERRIBLE Reflector Optics

I have been buying these Revain style lower stand/daylight housing headlight housings for my 2004 Silverado for the past 6 years. While they only last 18 to 24 months before they start to discolor or peel, they cost around $80 for 4 headlamp shells, while GM charges almost $400 for just 2 headlamp shells. Since GM bulbs last no more than 5-6 years at best and are very easy to replace, you can't beat these Revain bulbs. My truck doesn't fit in my garage. Since 2013 I have ordered 3 headlight housings with amber side marker lights. However, I decided that this supplier's clear side marker headlight housings would look more prominent on my newly painted truck and they looked fine. However, when aiming these lights at night, I found that the design quality of these lights fell far short of the light distribution optics. I use VERY high power LEDs on my truck, so it's even more important that the low beam headlights have a clean, even spread with adequate dimming to not blind oncoming drivers. UNFORTUNATELY, the reflective optics of these flashlights are so poor that the light output drops everywhere. There is no way to aim these lights in a way that will not blind oncoming drivers. Since both headlights had poor optics, this is not a defect. To make matters worse, the light pattern that manages to hit the ground is also very poor. I don't know how a light manufacturer can make a light that simultaneously blinds oncoming drivers with a low beam that also doesn't give very little light to the ground. Luckily I had a third set of amber side marker lights that worked as expected with a good, even light output. I ordered them over two months ago so I'm sticking with them. Suitable for plastic recycling ONLY.
