Review on Valley Climbing Chalk Bag: Versatile Gear for Climbing, Bouldering, Gymnastics & More! by David Everett

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Terrible chalk, functional bag.

Chalk is terrible. Does not help grip and has caused hand burns and cracked fingers. I've since upgraded to a higher quality chalk and haven't experienced any burning or cracking, and I've been able to step up with a different chalk on the first try thanks to the grip assist. The bag is good enough. Zippered pockets come in handy for small items like keys and I can even slip an iPhone 6 in The clasp at the top doesn't close perfectly so sometimes a small amount of loose chalk blows out of the top when I move it around and close the top. The belt looks very cheap, but I don't only use it for indoor bouldering and leave my bag on the ground between climbs. The outer materials of the bag feel solid and the zippers are of good quality. I will continue to use the bag and the reusable chalk ball that came with it, but I have already thrown away all of the original chalk.

Pros
  • Adjustable drawcord securely seals opening to prevent chalk spillage. 2 large zip pockets to keep wallet, keys and phone safe
Cons
  • Zero
