Description of Valley Climbing Chalk Bag: Versatile Gear for Climbing, Bouldering, Gymnastics & More!

Designed by a climber in Salt Lake City, for climbers! This bag has been revised over the years with feedback from the climbing community. I believe it is every bit as good as any "designer" chalk bag out there, and miles ahead of any other generic chalk bag. NEW and improved version features robust stitching, a stiffer rim, a brush loop (brush not included), and a bombproof ABS buckle with a slim waist strap. I donate $50 of the proceeds per month to the Access Fund to support our climbing community!. Superior water repellent nylon exterior with robust stitching is stronger and lighter than polyester. Interior is lined with soft fleece. Adjustable drawstring tightly closes the opening to prevent chalk spillage. 2 large zipper pockets to keep your wallet, keys, and phone secure and out of the way.

Good bag but with soft sides

Good product and does the job but I expected it to hold its shape a bit better. I use this at the gym for barbell workouts and it's definitely not holding shape at all. It is very soft and just dangles. It's fine, I just have to make sure I close it after each use so sealant doesn't spill on the gym floor. For climbers who attach the bag to their harness, this probably won't be a problem at all. It should also be noted that the belt is quite thin. I'm not sure if I want to use it. Otherwise a…

Pros
  • Excellent water repellent nylon with strong stitching, stronger and lighter than polyester. Soft fleece lining inside
Cons
  • Very expensive

Terrible chalk, functional bag.

Chalk is terrible. Does not help grip and has caused hand burns and cracked fingers. I've since upgraded to a higher quality chalk and haven't experienced any burning or cracking, and I've been able to step up with a different chalk on the first try thanks to the grip assist. The bag is good enough. Zippered pockets come in handy for small items like keys and I can even slip an iPhone 6 in The clasp at the top doesn't close perfectly so sometimes a small amount of loose chalk blows out of the…

Pros
  • Adjustable drawcord securely seals opening to prevent chalk spillage. 2 large zip pockets to keep wallet, keys and phone safe
Cons
  • Zero

Great chalk bag! on Climbing

This product is exactly to specification and with the included chalk ball it is excellent value for money. In addition to a large pocket with a drawstring, the chalk bag also has several padded zipped pockets. I hate to say that my drawstring was suspended from some sort of accessory material in the lining of the bag, rather than looped around the main pocket. Pocket. This was fixed by using a piece of wire to pull the rope around the main bag. A quick and easy fix that anyone can do. I sent a…

Cons
  • ill-concepted

This is my first chalk bag so I don't have anything to compare it to but for the price it looks great. I don't use a belt as I only used it for bouldering at the gym. There are two pockets, one holding my smartphone (with a large case) and the other holding my keys and a roll of sports tape so I can keep them handy. Gym chests are outside of some areas and can be prone to theft, so it's nice to have a place to store my valuables where I can keep an eye on them while climbing. I love that the…
