Both this tape and art masking liquid can be used in watercolor paints. I think for masking straight lines instead of really curvy ones this tape is excellent and works faster than masking fluid. Let's say you're creating a large flower with large, curling petals that need some white space to distinguish the border from the background or overlapping petals. Masking Fluid is a much better tool. The end result is that when you create art, the more tools you have to manipulate the image/drawing, I think the end result will appeal to both the artist and his/her audience. This tape came in handy for a couple of watercolors I did and will be using again (along with masking fluid).
