Review on Kohler Awaken Multi-Function Handshower with Slide Bar Kit, Polished Chrome, 27.50 x 3.75 x 2.50 inches by Callie Boyd

This was the only decent looking slide rail system I could find with adjustable brackets so I could install it in place of the old system. The old slider system was also Kohler which was about 10+ years old and felt very loose and also looked dated and bulky. After removing the old guide rail I simply installed the 2 wall brackets using the existing anchors from the old system, applied the new sealant, adjusted the brackets on the rail to match the existing hole spacing and secured the rail. Very easy installation and the new screws in this set were 2.5 times longer than the screws in my old one so it looks very solid in comparison. The shower head, despite being plastic, looks very well built and is a lot stronger than my old one despite having a better water consumption rating. Where I need to dock the sprocket is the plastic tubing that comes with the kit. I didn't even try to use it because I knew it would never look unwrapped and would just be an eyesore, so I went out and bought a $20 polished stainless steel hose at a hardware store to replace it. With the new hose, the whole system looks very elegant and feels very solid and well made despite the plastic brackets and shower head.
