Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice Arctic 195/60 R15 88T winter by Stanislaw Golkowski ᠌

Great value for money, one of the best offers.

Well, I really liked the rubber after a very howling and not holding (powder and porridge) Michelin and most importantly quiet. In general, it is not scary to carry a family. I took these tires for my old Renohi symbol. I skated on it for two winters, then moved it to a heavy trade wind and drove it with pleasure, now my wife will roll these wheels on a vent. Himself took another set of trade winds. I wanted to give 175 to my wife, and take myself a little wider and higher than 185, but the price tags said their own and I had to take the same size again. After 3 asphalt winters, 40-50% of the studs remained on the set, just enough for the season, maybe more, but the sipes on the tread are already rounded, so this winter will be the last for this set. By driving style, I don’t vomit from traffic lights, but I don’t like to feel sick. On the highway I usually drive 110-140, in the city the cameras have 60, and on average 80-100 it’s not that I show myself as a street racer there, it’s just that we have such a flow rate. I don’t have much to write about cross-country ability, recently fallen snow on the bumper is not a problem, roads are sometimes cleaned in the city and in the country, but I don’t drive through state farm fields, so I haven’t stuck anywhere yet. As I already wrote, this is not my first rubber, this is not the first car on one set, this is not the impression of a new thing. Everything is described after 3 winters and experience of use on 3 machines of different classes and weights. Will I recommend this rubber to my friends? Certainly! Not just because I bought another set, already an old model .

Pros
  • After rolling, spikes are enough for 3-4 winters, even if there is almost no winter They behave very well on porridge and loose snow, you can tear it down, but you need to try to do it They are also good on ice, both on a rural road and on city ice. On asphalt ruts, they roll like the rest of my winter tires (michelin xin2, goodyear ug400, gislaved nf5) I don’t even want to mention the rolled snow, it’s just like driving on asphalt QUIET, well, really quiet even new, much quieter than previous winter tires Strong - I caught holes, but not a single bump . On different surfaces (for example, asphalt on the left side, snow or mud on the right side), the car does not shake, it drives smoothly and you don’t have to hold it or push it to one of the sides A large rut is felt and you have to hold the car so that it does not scour, but when overtaking at speeds of 80+, the car does not throw, but slightly shakes (the car had already been caught on the previous tires)
Cons
  • Price. Since the purchase of the last set, the price has risen by 1000 per bottle
