Powerful but not ideal for timers.
Powerful. I wouldn't recommend it for less than 10 gallons, maybe even 20 gallons. Also, the gooseneck tends to stay at a slight angle instead of pointing straight down. The light is strong enough that the lens can create glare when the bottom of the headlight is at eye level. The light temperature function is an absolute disappointment. It runs every time it is turned on and off. That's ridiculous!
