Good shoes but… for boots and paw guards

Very good shoes but not for older dogs with dermatomyositis. He only needed 1 shoe because 1 hind leg is weaker. He drags his right leg more than his left, causing his ankles to bleed. That's why he only needs it for 1 foot at this point. Walking was a bit difficult, but as he climbed the ramp, his boot caught on the other hind foot. Dropped him and he just couldn't get up because one leg was crossed over the other and too weak to move. Poor thing, his hind legs were shaking trying so hard to get up and he just couldn't because the boot was too bulky. He weighs 100 pounds and I had to pick him up so he could get off the ramp. He was limping and shaking both hind legs. It's so heartbreaking to see what happened. Definitely not for the elderly with shaky legs. He now wears non-slip GRIPPERS socks that are fully covered with rubber. It was the best alternative for his condition. Also has some downsides as the inside isn't rubber, it's bigger than advertised and causes the shoe to tip over when trying to get up. But it's still more secure than bulky boots.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Good
