Does not come close to meeting advertised Specs

The PS arrived in good condition and seemed very light (a bad sign for a linear power supply). Upon testing with several loads, the max voltage output was adjustable up to about 21 VDC with a max current of about 1.7 amps. Under NO condition would it output 32 VDC and it would never reach 5 amps (ever). This is a 35 watt power supply at best.

Pros
  • works as advertised and does a great job. recommend it
Cons
  • The alligator leads that come with this product are of low quality

Three flaws with this power supply

1. The power supply does not turn off quickly. Press the off button and it takes 3 to 4 seconds to turn off the power supply. Very irritating. Turning on the supply is more normal.2. There is no fine tuning. The Voltage and current knobs can be difficult to adjust. Especially at low settings.3. This power supply does not seem to work well at very low current and voltage settings. (Very difficult to impossible to set below 1 Volt and milliamps.) And the current and voltage reading are not…

Pros
  • Easy to use. Volt and amp displays are easy to read.
Cons
  • This power supply is not very durable and is prone to breaking easily

I've had this 10amp device for a few days now, and I can tell you, it's the nicest power supply I have owned. It'll handle from 0-32v, 0-10.2a easily. I've had a 12v load on it for a few days now and it's worked great. There is absolutely no use for another set of knobs for fine and coarse adjustment. The fan has yet to kick on with a 2amp load on it, but I don't question the quality once unboxed. The only slight complaint I have is the leads sent with were c-clips and not banana plugs, I'd…

Pros
  • Me gustó
Cons
  • The display was so dim it was unreadable in normal office lighting. Returned.

Excellent power supply for the value

This is my first real bench power supply. Was just using an old modified ATX power supply before, with fixed voltages. This supply is great. Accuracy from me testing with a multimeter was usually no more than about 0.2v off at the highest voltages, and at lower voltages it was usually no more than 0.1v off. Short protection works well too, when shorted voltage goes immediately down to 0. No display problems at all like others stated. Does have a bit of a smell, but from experience with other…

Pros
  • Works as expected, Good balance between price and performance.
Cons
  • The Eventek Variable DC Power Supply is not user-friendly

Good quality. Recommend. Display extremely dim

Quality is better than expected. Display is too dim and I opened it up to see if any adjustments are there - no. But - there are two adjustments on display board, marked V and A - voltage and current readings calibration - I assume. Boards assembly quality is very good, it's not "no name" cheep electronics. Fan is running only if necessary, I wold say - above 100W load. I would definitely recommend this supply.

Pros
  • I ran it though it's paces up to full load and it passed with flying colors. Perfect!
Cons
  • The price of this product is too high for the average consumer

Display is Dim: my feedback

It is a great switching supply, light weight and small layout, how ever we find it hard to read the display, in the pics it looks bright and if we take a pic with camera it looks bright, but to the human eye it is way dim! The reason is that each 7 segment letter is multiplexed and has a fixed scan rate, We removed the display board and there is nothing you can do to increase brightness since the strobe clock is internal to the chip, increasing voltage to display does nothing etc. Too bad cause

Pros
  • Really surprised, came right on time, works great!! awesome price
Cons
  • The design of this product is not aesthetically pleasing

So far so good don't think you will be unhappy with it.

This power supply has done all I've asked of it. I have not put it under a full load but it's been outstanding in providing variable power levels and current limiting. I've only loaded it to about 5 amps at 8 volts but I use it for 14 volt testing on prototypes and at this point I would not hesitate to recommend it. As for 10 amps at 30 volts. I don't know, but it's been a trooper for lower voltage loads. I don't think you will be unhappy with it. It will go up to 30 volts as advertised and the

Pros
  • For the price, it works as advertised. Feels a little cheap, but, again, looks at what it costs.
Cons
  • did not work . it was not the fuse . new one on its way lets see if that one works

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Power Supply would not rest on a flat surface.

The fit and finish of the power supply seemed very nice; however, it would not set level on the bench and rocked back and forth with every touch due to one rubber foot being shorter than the other three. The ripple seemed reasonable for a switching supply. I could have replace the feet to fix the problem, but that seemed unreasonable for a power supply that I just paid $105 for and it made me question the electrical build quality. I did not use it under load given that I was returning it. The…

Pros
  • Works very well for my electroplating setup.
Cons
  • The power supply is not portable and is difficult to move around

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Dissapointed! There is nothing "low noise " about it.

I made a decision to purchase this unit as it claimed "low noise" and "20mV rms noise". That was my actual need as well.As soon as I put it on a scope, it showed good amount of noise. Most of the noise is 100mV (meaning 200mV peak-to-peak) and some energy extending to 150mV (300mV p-p). This is nothing more than ordinary switching power supply. It's not low noise or anything. As a bench power supply for a lab, this is unusable. As to value for money, it's great. It works. It's as good as any…

Pros
  • Nice piece of equipment and great seller
Cons
  • The LED display is poorly designed and difficult to read

I'm just not satisfied.

I work on computer components and needed something to test small parts, relays, switches, etc. at 12v, 3.3v, 5v, and 19v.I don't need anything fancy, and this appears to do the job. I'm just not satisfied. I think it is because of the price. For 80 dollars, I am not sure what this is doing for me over using an old PC power supply, other than I only need one instead of two now.It works, but it doesn't feel well made. It is very light, the front panel is extremely cheap plastic, and the switches…

If you’re looking for one, buy this one.

Knocks the socks off of every other one we use at work. We’ve tried all the available ones with same ratings on amazon and this is easily the best so far

Pros
  • With a voltage range of up to 32V and a current output of 10.2A, this bench power supply provides ample power for demanding projects
Cons
  • The alligator clips that come with this product are not very secure

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great Product for my opinion

It's a really great product, and is well made. The voltage and current is a little hard to set precisely with the knobs but overall it's really good value for the price

Pros
  • Excelente producto
Cons
  • The build quality of this product is not very good

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good entry level device.

A great buy. I purchased this to help my new found hobby into electronics and it has been a a valuable tool. That's my review.

Pros
  • The device is easy to customize and can be easily modified to meet specific application requirements, for enhanced flexibility
Cons
  • The power supply is not very versatile and cannot be used for multiple applications simultaneously

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Lightweight, switching power supply

I had used an analog, non-switching 30v 10a voltage + current power supply in the past. It was an amazing tool to have, but it was huge and heavy. This has similar functionality, while being several times smaller, lighter, and cheaper, plus an easier to read display. The current limiting functionality provides additional flexibility (and safety) to use as a charger, if you know the battery chemistry and what you're doing!

Pros
  • Good quality, good value. Praise.
Cons
  • The power supply is too heavy and can be difficult to carry around

Very nice power supply

Well made power supply. I use it for hobby work but this last weekend i had to use it as a power supply for a 3d printer i didnt think it would handle the amperage demands of the printer (10+ amps) but it handled it just fine for 12 hours.

Pros
  • On the money
Cons
  • The power supply does not work well in extreme weather conditions

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Love this little power supply.

I think this power supply is the best value out there. It is nice and small and works great. Display looks very nice and is accurate. Happy customer here.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • The user manual that comes with this product is not very helpful

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great power supply for my opinion

This power supply is great for electronics hobbyists. The display accurately reflects the output at the terminals, and the voltage and current knobs are easy enough to use. The supply comes with a nice instruction booklet detailing how to operate it.

Pros
  • Excelente
Cons
  • Worked great for about a year. Cooling fan quit and overheated.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works fine! on my review.

For my purposes doing hobby electronic projects it works great. I like that it doesn't beep at me all the time like another one I had. Easy to set and use. Light weight. Didn't do a teardown, but I am hopeful it will work for awhile. No noisy fan.

Pros
  • The adjustable temperature-controlled fan ensures optimal heat dissipation, enabling extended operation without risk of overheating
Cons
  • The power supply is not very user-friendly and requires a lot of technical knowledge to operate

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Works fine, but display is dim

Haven't tested this for ripple under load, or meter accuracy, but delivers *some* voltage at *some* current it basically works. The one fairly major negative is that the voltage and current displays are extremely dim; in anything above medium brightness indoor lighting they are impossible to see.

Pros
  • The variable output voltage and current allow for fine-tuning of power delivery, enabling finer control over the testing process
Cons
  • The power supply is prone to voltage fluctuations

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great value for the money

I have to say I had my doubts about this guy. Price weight and so on. Far to many companies make crap power supplies nowadays. As a bench tech I needed an extra supply, so i took a gamble on this one.Received it today, and the first thing I did was run it at 5A for 30 minutes to push it hard and see what got hot.To my shock the fan never even came on. I was like ok it sucks, bad fan out of the box. So I took the top off to check out the quality. To my surprise its a switching power supply…

Pros
  • The intuitive interface enables easy operation, even for beginners, without the need for extensive technical knowledge or experience
Cons
  • The power supply is not very customizable and lacks advanced features
