Review on Eventek Variable DC Power Supply - 32V 10.2A Adjustable Bench Power Supply With High Precision LED Display And Alligator Leads For Switching Regulated Performance by Chris Meers

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Dissapointed! There is nothing "low noise " about it.

I made a decision to purchase this unit as it claimed "low noise" and "20mV rms noise". That was my actual need as well.As soon as I put it on a scope, it showed good amount of noise. Most of the noise is 100mV (meaning 200mV peak-to-peak) and some energy extending to 150mV (300mV p-p). This is nothing more than ordinary switching power supply. It's not low noise or anything. As a bench power supply for a lab, this is unusable. As to value for money, it's great. It works. It's as good as any other inexpensive switching power supply. Unfortunately, I wasn't looking for that. I have a true lab grade switching power supplies. They do 10mV noise easily. Of course, they are 10 times more costly.Moral of the story is, I got what I paid for. I should have known better. But with some glowing reviews, I took a chance. Oh well.
