I have to say I had my doubts about this guy. Price weight and so on. Far to many companies make crap power supplies nowadays. As a bench tech I needed an extra supply, so i took a gamble on this one.Received it today, and the first thing I did was run it at 5A for 30 minutes to push it hard and see what got hot.To my shock the fan never even came on. I was like ok it sucks, bad fan out of the box. So I took the top off to check out the quality. To my surprise its a switching power supply rather than a old style clunky and heavy transformer type.The heatsink was just warm to the touch! Not a bad fan just never needed it to come on. Being that the heatsink was warm to the touch shows that the supply is not being overloaded.AC ripple was the next thing to check. Put a 1.4A load on it and it did fall within the stated spec.
