Review on Eventek Variable DC Power Supply - 32V 10.2A Adjustable Bench Power Supply With High Precision LED Display And Alligator Leads For Switching Regulated Performance by Jeff Langford

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Power Supply would not rest on a flat surface.

The fit and finish of the power supply seemed very nice; however, it would not set level on the bench and rocked back and forth with every touch due to one rubber foot being shorter than the other three. The ripple seemed reasonable for a switching supply. I could have replace the feet to fix the problem, but that seemed unreasonable for a power supply that I just paid $105 for and it made me question the electrical build quality. I did not use it under load given that I was returning it. The controls and connections also lacked a quality feel. That being said, I have not found a suitable replacement and I am prepared to pay up to 4X the cost of this PS for a quality unit. I will look for a better built linear or build my own. The Eventek is not a bad deal for the money, it just turned me off with respect to quality. I was somewhat on the fence regarding the return.
