Review on Eventek Variable DC Power Supply - 32V 10.2A Adjustable Bench Power Supply With High Precision LED Display And Alligator Leads For Switching Regulated Performance by Mike Hamelin

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I'm just not satisfied.

I work on computer components and needed something to test small parts, relays, switches, etc. at 12v, 3.3v, 5v, and 19v.I don't need anything fancy, and this appears to do the job. I'm just not satisfied. I think it is because of the price. For 80 dollars, I am not sure what this is doing for me over using an old PC power supply, other than I only need one instead of two now.It works, but it doesn't feel well made. It is very light, the front panel is extremely cheap plastic, and the switches and knobs are VERY cheap.I don't care about it looking or feeling quality, as long as it doesn't impact performance, but the switches are really bad. They are rough to turn and you can't easily dial them in. It also appears to have some "lag" when turning the amperage dial. All in all I would have been very happy if I paid under 30 bucks for this, but at over $100.I'm just not satisfied. I hate to leave a mediocre review as a business owner myself, but I think the price needs to see a huge drop.Pros: Works, clear readout that is decently accurateCons: EXPENSIVE, Rough knobs, annoying for fine tuning, Not better than a free PC PSU
