Review on 🌲 Emerald Home Chandler Hardwood Square Accent Side End Table: Stylish Storage Shelf with Sturdy Metal Legs, Pine Dark Brown by Chris Hossain

I really like this table. It's real wood, extremely durable and has a great rustic feel. And you can't beat the price ($150 and free shipping with Prime). BUT. (You knew this was going to happen) There is this really noticeable ripple on the top of the table that is not visible in the manufacturer's photo nor in any of the other review posts. It's wavy both in color and physically - not smooth at all (the boards are also uneven so you can't put drinks on the table or write on them without a magazine underneath). I don't know if it was a manufacturing defect or if it was meant to appear that way, but it really detracts from the chart in my opinion. Ripples aren't just one of the boards, they're all of them. The lower wooden panel has NO waves. The light from it shines beautifully. If the top looked like the bottom this would be a 5 star rating. Overall I'm satisfied and this table is great value, but I'll always get annoyed when I focus on waves. I might try coloring the top so they match better. Also, the color of the table is NOT dark brown. It's more of a light maroon with golden undertones. It's difficult to capture the true color in a photo, but I've attached photos of the ribbed top (and smooth bottom).
