They cost more than fakes (which I have admittedly tried) but they are worth it! The cheaper discounted models don't cut evenly, they seem to have imperfections that let small areas of fabric through and force you to return to that area. I quickly found that they are reliable and stay sharp for a long time! quality product. I do a lot of rotary cutting on fabric because I make quilts. I want accuracy and reliability, not frustration. They deliver. Don't be fooled by other brands claiming superior sharpness! Some blades can damage the cutting mat. It's not like this. (Always hold the blade perpendicular to the mat to avoid scoring the mat.)
