Review on Tonton 2K Wireless Security Camera System With Dual WiFi, PIR Sensor, And Color Night Vision - 8 Bullet Floodlight Cameras, 10CH 5MP NVR With 2TB HDD, 2 Way Audio by Evan Martinez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Functions as advertised, Good customer support so far.

I gave this a five star rating mostly because of the great customer support (and because few people read the 4,3,and 2 start ratings)I'm still deciding how to rate the overall system because I've had a few issues I had to work through.Kudos to Abby at Tonton for helping me through those.I purchased this system for 3 main reasons: 1) audio recording capability 2) system included 8 cameras 3) lowest price. Here is a summary of the Pros and Cons from my experience so far:Pros:1) System functions as advertised2) Initial set up was really easy (plug and play)3) picture quality is excellent, especially night vision4) smart phone App works good to monitor cameras and play-back recordings remotely5) Customer support has been very responsiveCons:1) I've had two of the 8 cameras from the original system develop problems. These were replaced promptly by Tonton through revain. I'm hoping this is not a indication of the long term durability of the cameras.2) Owners manual is very basic, lacks detail. There is enough info to get the system up-and-running, but after that, you are on your own. Many of the features and menu items in the software are not documented in the owners manual. I had to learn for myself and had to forward many questions to customer service. Again, many thanks to Abby for her support. Tonton really needs to work on that user manual. A "quick start guide" is not enough.3) System operates on the 2.4Ghz wireless frequency and will really bog down wireless communication if your home router also uses that frequency in your house. I had to move all my other devices to use the 5GHz wireless frequency to avoid the slow down. Good thing I had a dual band router!4) You will need to hard-wire the NVR to your router (ethernet) if you want to access the cameras and recordings via the App on your phone. Although the cameras are wireless to the NVR, the NVR is not wireless to the router to your router. Something I did not realize when I bought the system. I had to run a 50ft cable to my router!
