So today I received my set of optical bypass cables from YIOVVOM annnnn…. Sent them back tonight! Last month my BMW sounds stopped working and I got a horrible SOS error! After watching a few YouTube videos, I felt confident that I could use these loops to troubleshoot by bypassing various components. Well I was wrong. The connector in this kit does not fit into anything in the car, so including it and advertising it as a "2 PACK" is completely misleading in my opinion. Why would anyone need a connector when you're trying to bypass components that also have connectors? To make matters worse, the female connector (which I needed) in this kit absolutely does not fit into any of the male connectors on the components. in my trunk. It looks like it was made to be used with a different plug. My wife also has a BMW 550i and just for fun I tried it on the components of her car and got the same results! Looks like it will fit if I cut the plastic but I don't risk damaging the unit and I can't return it... I just sent it back and will be ordering a matching one from another seller! There has to be a better option.
