They look good and work great for what I need them for! My son had Harry Potter's birthday in November (he turned 11 and got a letter from Hogwaites! Lol!) To put them on I just wrapped some string around the base of the flame and it held up great. I was also able to reuse the candles for my Harry Potter themed Christmas tree and they looked amazing! You have to screw on the bottom of the candles, with batteries in them of course, to turn the candles on. If you want to turn them off, I just turned them around a bit until the light goes out. Because once I pinned them to the ceiling, it was a hassle to get all the batteries out of them, so just unwrapping them worked great. I've also used rechargeable batteries, so I have to keep them on long enough for them to drain. It really depends on the battery life, but I haven't had any issues with it so far. Definitely worth your money!
