Review on WELLAND Wooden Freestanding Expands Foldable Dogs by Chantell Marie

Revainrating 3 out of 5

If your dog is smart, this won't help you.

My 24lb Cavalier King Charles Spaniel thinks she needs to be with me or near me 24/7. She opens it slightly with her nose (see 3rd photo) and runs straight up the stairs to our carpeted bedrooms. It also allows our (not so assertive) larger dog to have free access. This should at least make it a little harder. I've read that the additional purchase ($30) of "legs" only helps keep the gate upright and does not help prevent dogs from opening it. So I don't waste my money on them. I really had no problems with them tipping over. This only happened once or twice and that was because my son was in a hurry and couldn't get over the gate and knock it over. Our dogs are 10 and 11 years old and don't jump on it. Pros: The gate appears to be quite strong and attractive (the white goes well with our wood siding) and fits comfortably in the space. Cons: They are lightweight. and expensive. Easy to open with cool wet noses... EDIT! Weight cuffs didn't help! 😖😩
