Excellent work! Note: These lights were purchased for my wife's car and SUV, for emergency lighting in case an adjustable beam (from flood to focused high beam) is needed. This review may be a little technical for some readers, but I'm writing it from the perspective of a design engineer (my job). At $14 for 2 flashlights (including batteries and straps) these devices are a great buy! Machining (manufacturing) and attention to detail exceeded my technical expectations. Before I bought them, I researched some comparable devices, read all the 1 and 2 star reviews of competing devices (lower ratings usually reveal product flaws) and found that the functionality, physical size, and performance of these flashlights met my needs. The devices were well packaged in a nice protective double box and were bubble wrapped to protect the devices in transit. After receiving the blocks, I installed the included batteries, activated the slider bar mechanism a few times, and went outside to test functionality. To my surprise, the focused beam was able to illuminate the tops of tall trees about 2 blocks down the street, and the headlight's position around my feet was very bright. The slider bar adjustment feature is solid (which is good), and the flashlight fits comfortably in the palm of your hand (not too long and not too bulky). A very important initial procedure to keep in mind when using this type of adjustable beam flashlight (the head unit slides back and forth to adjust the beam focus): Before using the flashlight for the first time, move the head unit SLOWLY back and forth a few times, then SLOWLY rotate the head a few turns to properly lubricate the inner o-ring (which provides the sealing and friction needed to hold the beam in place). This is because the manufacturing and assembly time is unknown prior to delivery to your door, the o-ring around the main unit shaft may require a temporary INSTALLATION and CAREFUL operation to properly lubricate the o-ring and the to ensure service life. This is one of the rejection issues I've noticed in many reviews of competing 1 and 2 star flashlights. However, this may be due to poor manufacturing or the customer not slowly "working" the adjustable beam at first before using the flashlight. I have several similar small, cheap, low quality flashlights that I have bought at gas stations, auto parts stores, dollar stores, etc. for years. They are all being recycled now (after the old batteries have been removed!) and I intend to buy a few more sets of these wonderful little lanterns to carry around the house and/or use as gifts! I understand that this review was quite detailed and long, but I hope it will be useful to someone!
