I use the Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro on my main gaming PC and I really like them. However, I needed a solution for my dual Xeon Linux server and that's where these RGB heatsinks come in handy. For this server I have ECC DDR4 memory which you cannot get RGB presets for. Since there are also no RGB connectors on the server boards, I had to buy an ASUS ROG terminal, which I connected to my Windows PC with a USB cable, alongside it with the ASUS AURA software (I know the Linux Version of the compatible RGB software is not available). Although it came at an additional cost, it was a good solution for my specific situation. They worked well initially, although you can see each little LED bulb light up so you can tell the light is scattered unevenly. But for a $20 product I can't really complain and would give it a 4/5. Until a few days later I noticed that the LEDs were already starting to fail. This is the frustrating reason all cables have already been routed to clean all RGB header cables. Now I have to look for a full replacement or find a new solution when these things have a limited lifespan. For a Linux server designed to run 24/7/365, it's not at all promising that these things show signs of failure in the first few days.
