My daughter goes to outdoor preschool and they have been extremely helpful on those cold days when she could be outside but still wanted to work things like writing, painting and other fine motor skills without freezing their hands. They're quite thick and double woven to keep the wind out, but they were hastily machine knitted so I had to cut off a finger when we first got them. If I wasn't a knitter and seamstress I would return them just for that.
