(Size shown 4-6x for my 6 and 7 year olds. For reference, both are 22" chest and waist and usually wear 6x.) Tanks great, especially for the price! Due to the review suggestion I increased the size and first bought 7-16 for my 6 and 7 year old girls who usually wear size 6x. They were MUCH big! However, I love them so much that I have decided to keep them until they grow up. I ended up buying a smaller size and they fit perfectly - with plenty of room to grow! My girls both love these tank tops and both told me how soft they were once they were put on! Can't comment on durability as they haven't been washed yet, but looks like they'll last a long time! I would suggest taking size "4-6x" for sizes 5-8 and size "7-16" for sizes 9-12.
