Compact bright lights so you can be seen riding your bike

I was a little skeptical about the advertising of these lights but thought everything they said about them was true for the money. Front white light with three groups of LEDs and the same for the rear light except the red one. Four different modes: bright, dim, fast flash and pattern flash/pause. It is very easy to mount on both the handlebar and the seatpost. The light has what appears to be a built in clip and with the included elastic that wraps around part of the bike they attach quickly and securely. Thanks to the way the clips are shaped, I've found I can even mount a red light on the back of my helmet by sliding it over the strap that runs behind my helmet to lift the light off the ground and thus easier for drivers to see. They're very quick and easy to fit and remove, so they're not difficult to remove when you lock up your bike for a while, and being small they don't take up much space in your bag. The light is directional, but the protective lenses scatter the rays slightly off-center, so the light appears bright even when you're not directly in line with the center of the beam. I haven't used them often enough to see if the batteries last as long as the specs say, but I'm glad they charge for me between rides. (Illuminates up to about 10 hours at half brightness or flashing mode and 2.5 to 3.5 hours at full brightness.) The micro USB cable connector is well protected by the rubber surround on the lights and looks like it will light up itself keep water out during a downpour. The front white light, while fairly bright, isn't intended (in my opinion) to be used as a concentrated beam headlight to illuminate the pavement in front of you in the dark. It's designed to catch drivers' attention when they approach you on the road, and the brightness of the light beam is certainly bright enough for that. Blinking mode also makes you much more visible to anyone looking at you from the street. Over the years I have purchased and used many types of bike lights to be as visible as possible to the riders I share the road with. It might be the best I've found so far.
