I like it without armrests.
Love everything about it. With one exception, you should be aware that the armrest does not lie flat when the headboard/backrest is laid flat. They sit like a low frame. So if you want it in a sitting position like in the photo, be aware that you will have to take it off as you proceed with the styling. 2 seconds and without tools. Just upside down.
