Review on πŸ”˜ Midnight Black Maxi-Cosi Gia XP 3-Wheel Travel System by Victoria Shaw

Much to Love but Flaws

The Maxi-Cosi Gia XP 3 Wheel Travel System consists of 3 separate components; Mico XP infant carrier, car seat base and Gia XP tricycle. To simplify my review, I'll cover each of the three components separately. First of all, the Mico XP infant car seat is not easy to carry, I would describe it as normal or heavy for a car seat. Five-point belts are fine, there are no problems buckling and unbuckling the child. This baby seat is very well padded and feels comfortable for the baby. It comes with a body pillow that needs to be used for 4-5lb babies but can be removed for larger babies. It also comes with a pillow for extra support. Both can be easily removed when not needed. But I love that there is no need to buy an extra car seat headrest pillow as it has everything you need. The carry handle is awkward to turn, even pressing both buttons on the carry handle firmly makes it harder than it should be. The car seat locks securely into the base and can be easily removed by lifting the base release handle. I found it much easier to insert and remove the infant car seat into the base than the stroller. The top of this car seat is of good quality. And finally, the entire fabric of the car seat can be completely removed and washed! Next comes the base of the child car seat. Not much to say here. It's a large base and heavy, if you move between vehicles frequently it would be a chore. It is a solid, reliable and dependable foundation. It uses the LATCH system in your vehicle to connect to the vehicle's anchors. It can also be fastened with a car seat belt if needed if your car doesn't have LATCH brackets. The base itself is covered with stickers showing the five steps to install this base in the car, which is very convenient. After all, the Gia XP trike is luxurious and premium! This stroller glides, pushes and steers like a dream. I have had over 12 different strollers and can honestly say you get what you pay for. The price of this stroller is higher, but you get what you pay for! All parts of this stroller are well made, durable and of excellent quality. The stroller canopy offers great protection but has a hidden zipper that extends the canopy coverage even further to protect your little one. The handle of the stroller is adjustable for people of different heights. It comes with a cup holder, yes, that attaches to the top next to the stroller handle. The basket under the stroller is large enough to fit in any diaper bag. The seat has an adjustable footrest so when your child decides to take a nap, they can put their legs up for extra comfort. The seat can be adjusted from upright to lying down with one hand. This stroller is comfortable and well padded. I love this padding because if my baby's diaper rips I can take the entire seat padding and wash it to protect the stroller frame in the event of an accident. To fold the stroller, you need to release the handle on the stroller seat. The weight is typical, certainly not light, but average. Finally, the wheels are made of durable rubber, not cheap plastic, and cope well with any terrain. Overall, this movement system is the best in terms of safety and quality. The car seat has some custom features that I want to simplify. None of the components in this system are light, they all have a medium to heavy spectrum. I would recommend this travel system and expect it to last long and well.
