The iron works great. Make sure you choose a Rowenta that is made in Germany and not made in China where the parts are cheaper. I was replacing a German made Rowenta that I've had for almost nine years that has been dropped on the floor many times by passing kids bumping into my ironing board. The weld between the plate and the housing had completely come loose, water was spurting out, making repairs impossible. I bought another Rowenta without hesitation. This one has more steam power than my old one with the new multi-hole plate and works great. You'll have to top it up more often because it pumps out more vapor, but I'm fine with that because it does the job well. I iron 10-20 shirts and 6 suit pants a week. There is a similar model with a large reservoir that I almost got but I have ganglion cysts on my wrists so I went with this one instead as it is a bit lighter. Only criticism: Rowenta could have made the plastic water window a little more transparent. I like to pour water just before it's empty and now I can't tell until it makes an empty bubble sound.
