My steam heating system had leaking 2" pipe installed by a professional steam plumber. I decided to repair the connections myself with pipe sealing cord. The Council of Professional Plumbers recommended Loctite 55. It was easy to work with and the Teflon made the connections slide easily. Now I have a 100% leak free system!
