I bought them for everyday use at home. As has been said here, there are two different sides to these things. On the one hand, they are very comfortable and attractive. The material on the top is just rubbery enough to feel great and hold its shape for a long time. On the other hand, they squeak a lot! It gets to the point of annoying everyone around me, myself included. I wore them for a couple of weeks trying to find a way to stop the squeaking without breaking them. I tried sanding the floors on concrete and sandpaper. But so far I have failed. So I won't wear them until I understand they work. They consist of two parts made of two different materials. So I suspect the solution is to separate the materials and grind the intersections. They're not glued together, so they're easy to separate and reassemble.
