Review on 🔪 Oshlun SDS-0842 8-Inch 42 Tooth Stack Dado Set: A Versatile Choice with 5/8-Inch Arbor by Trevor Bannister

At first I was disappointed with this set and thought "you get what you pay for". The cuts didn't look very clean. I then made a clearance-free needle plate and the cuts improved significantly, almost to perfection. I use it primarily for cutting grooves in plywood when making drawer fronts. You can see the quality of the cut in the picture. The skirting kit includes instructions on which blade/cutter combination to use for each plywood width. While it compensates for the "nominal width" of the plywood (not quite 1/2 inch), it still cuts a groove that is too wide. I'd rather have it too narrow so I can add a bit of padding to get the exact width, but I'm a perfectionist. Overall I think I can recommend this product.
