I took a cooler to replace the boxed one for the Intel Core i5-2500K. With a slight overclock to 3700 MHz, the maximum temperature dropped by 20 degrees compared to the boxed cooler! It was 73, but it became 53. And this despite the fact that the temperature of 72.6 degrees, according to official data, is considered critical for the Core i5-2500K. Has pros: Efficient, quiet (compared to boxed), easy to install, holds up well. Different cons: Dimensions, the need to unscrew the motherboard from the case during the installation of the cooler.
