Review on πŸ”₯ Fire-Maple Volcano Alcohol Backpacking Stove: No Canister Needed, Minimalist Mini Camp Stove with Adjustable Flame Burner and Stable Folding Design - Includes Protective Mesh Bag by Jeff Grindley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I love experimenting with my homemade camping stove

I followed some online instructions and built myself a paint can sized jet stove that is fairly light and has a handle (I have a small carabiner with clips). on the handle so the stove can be attached to my backpack) and burns small collected twigs that are collected on site or taken away. This little platter is very small and packs easily, which is good; However, because it's so small, it's not strong enough to hold pots/pans well. This small stove needs a very level surface, otherwise it could tip over. Again, I'm comparing this to my homemade rocket stove, which is sturdy, can handle any pot/pan, and can use more branches and smaller pieces of wood to keep the fire going for as long as you need it. Again this is a nice little camp stove and might be perfect for others but I will keep my homemade one as a camp stove.

Pros
  • Camping
Cons
  • Good but not great
