No, these are not Converse All Stars and I have tried many of these pairs. There's come a point in my life where I don't care about promoting a brand on my legs. I know what sneaker style I like and here it is. There's only a slight difference in the quality of the canvas on these boots, but the doubles always have a clue. The biggest plus is that they don't cost $60. Straight rubber outsole (no felt used to disguise shoes as slippers to avoid certain import taxes). The aglets and eyelets are well made. I love these shoes.
