I had an accident at the end of the week. The thermostat on my fridge freezer died a real death and within 48 hours I lost about 8 bags of groceries. Now I'm not going to tell you that having that basket would have made a difference, but I will tell you that I've been stuffing my freezer with grocery bags for too long and whatnot. they're falling around, I can't find anything so I tend to ignore what's there and just throw new stuff at it until I've pushed all the bags and try to stuff another one in the box. And it's just stupid. What I like about this basket is that I can put packages in and see what I have. I honestly have to say what's in there, how long it's been and that I really need to use it before I get anything else. I like that if something worse happens and the power goes out, drops fall into the bin. (Seriously, thawed chicken juice after 48 hours is the worst thing ever. We put on masks to wash it out of the freezer. I'm not even joking.) It takes up space, but like I said, it stays honest. and helps me maintain a freezer where things don't die. After my disaster, I will never go without freezer baskets again. The YouCopia basket seems a little pricey, but note that the sections are adjustable so you can fit different sized packages inside. I like to store large bags of frozen fruit for smoothies and bowls, so a wide compartment works for me.
