I've been looking for a reliable no frills wireless gaming mouse and that's what the G305 needs. I chose Logitech because their Lightspeed technology has been proven to have the same response time as wired options. My previous mouse was the Red Dragon M711 budget mouse and I didn't notice any difference in responsiveness when gaming. The primary and secondary buttons are nice, clicky, and responsive. The feel of the scroll wheel is sharp and perfect for my taste. I'm deducting a point because the side buttons and wheel are a little soft compared to the M711, but that's okay. Disclaimer, "softness" may only be an issue with the refurbished mouse I received. The shape of the G305 is classic and its size should be comfortable for anyone with small to medium hands. My M711 is asymmetrical and I have a hard time choosing the shape I prefer. The G305's textured plastic is good, and it didn't take me long to get used to the Red Dragon's smooth matte finish. The G305 is a bit heavier due to the AA battery that powers it, but there are plenty of hacks that can help balance and keep the weight down. Bottom line, if you have small to medium hands and are looking for a non-RGB mouse that can be found in most "gaming" products, you can't go wrong with the Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Mouse in any scenario.
