I bought this printer to replace an old HP printer which I was very happy with but the ink is no longer available and Windows 7 is not available for automatic two-sided printing. I also liked the idea of wireless connectivity and the ability to copy, scan and print. Fax would be nice, but since I don't have a land line, it probably won't work that well anyway. Setup was seamless and I used WPS to connect it to my router and didn't have to use a USB connection at all. . I just installed the drivers, scan utility, onscreen guide, my printer, and network and scanner selection tools. The setup could have been a bit more informative and let me know that the printer successfully connected to my router, but that's a minor point. The text and images I printed look great, the test image I scanned looked great, and my test copy came out great in color and black and white alike. So far I've only used plain paper, so I can't comment on the quality of the images printed on photo paper. Automatic duplex printing worked well. My only real complaint is that the paper trays are weak - I have cats and when I'm not using the printer I keep the paper output tray closed and the paper stopper down to win. Don't step on them and don't possibly break them. By the way, the paper stopper is a bit clumsy - it twists outwards and cannot be shortened. But it's not really necessary unless you're printing multiple sheets, so I'll leave it folded. It might seem silly to focus on looks, but this printer really does look good - gloss black and with the paper trays closed, it gets compact and compact. cool looking box. It takes up quite a bit of space for a multifunction device, which is a big plus given my limited space. Edit 12/6/2012: I deducted a star from my rating because the printer has serious paper feeding issues. Every time I use it I have to manually push the paper through or the printer won't pick it up. I tried cleaning it but it doesn't help.
