Pros: I bought this for my mom as a birthday present and she loves it! She has horrible arthritis in her right thumb and palm joint and although she says she doesn't massage the product there when she takes her hand out she sees small dots from the rubber massagers so it's definitely hitting that area. It's just tissue so damaged she can't feel it. However, she uses it religiously at work and it has helped immensely with pain and swelling. Now she has to look for it when she needs it because everyone else in the office borrows it. Massage before charging CONS It doesn't "massage" as much as "press and release". It contracts (damn hard and on high settings) and holds the pressure for a few seconds and then releases. I was looking for a more focused rubbing motion like in a massage chair, but that's all pressure and relaxation. Even on the lowest setting, this is a very strong push. I'm sure it's great for people with arthritis like my mom I mentioned above, but it can be uncomfortable if you don't have arm pain and just want a good massage. It is not suitable for large hands/arms. My husband is 6ft 3in and weighs 350lbs and his arm can only fit halfway into the device. His arms are too wide and his arms are too thick to stretch his arm more than halfway. This makes for a decent fingertip massage for him. although, haha!
