I used this when we were in the car for the weekend. We had a dog in the car so I wanted as much shade as possible for him inside and that worked great. We could open the windows, get a lot of wind and still be in the shade. It comes with Velcro to attach to the door to keep it down, but with the door closed we didn't need them. The only problem we had (which is not a problem with the product itself) was that it rained during the day and when the mesh got wet water got into the machine so we had to remove it but that's just because that the rubber seal in the door, the car is no longer intact, so I should have known what it was. We have a 15 hour trip across three states and I'm looking forward to trying it on while driving to see how well it holds up in the wind with the windows open. If he stays it will definitely do a lot to keep the sun out of our hands.
