I've been using Alpine for almost 10 years now and I can say the quality of their cones has dropped a bit. I remember they were more durable but we know they are meant to maximize profit but I can say they make an AWESOME sound. I would recommend them as an upgrade, but also remember that they have the most value when connected to an amp or aftermarket head unit. I'm currently using them without a booster and I have to say the clarity is still there. I will always recommend Alpine to anyone looking for a decent speaker upgrade at an affordable price.
