Review on πŸ‘œ Black Neoprene OP/TECH USA 0901012 S.O.S. Strap: Ideal for Bags, Briefcases, and Luggage by Brooke Washington

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Quality US strap with neoprene padding that really helps reduce the feel of weight

I bought an OP/TECH USA Utility Strap - Sling (black) for my DSLR a few years ago I was impressed with the quality of the OP/TECH products (please read my top rated review). This SOS harness is no exception, and while it's more expensive, the overall quality of the materials and the superior comfort of the neoprene pad over the standard shoulder pad definitely make it worth the price. A durable nylon strap, metal end connectors and soft neoprene demonstrate Made in the USA quality. Overall it has a solid build with no ugly logos (just a small label). The main benefit for me is the neoprene shoulder pad which is a godsend when handling heavy weight. This seriously reduces the feeling of weight to more than half of what you have and is great if you have to carry something for hours. As with the DSLR strap I previously purchased, you hardly notice the weight. I am using this particular strap on a medium sized bag and there is one thing I would like to change about it and that is the placement of the neoprene. The pad is adjustable along the strap. I'm about 5ft 9in, have a large build, and when I put my bag aside, the neoprene lining fits snugly over my shoulder. The neoprene pad is off-center by a few inches and doesn't rest fully on my shoulder. If you are smaller or use it for other purposes (e.g. as a musical instrument) you may not have this problem. For reference, the longest length from one plug to the other is approximately 53 inches. Despite this minor flaw, this OP/TECH SOS harness is still a great product and really deserves a 4.5 star rating. I just wish it was a little more adjustable for different situations. In general I am very confident in the overall quality as my other OP/TECH DSLR strap has lasted over 5 years on many trips with no material deterioration.
