Excellent desktop speakers for the price. You won't get $1,000 sound from these $399 speakers, but for near-field listening on your desk, they're surprisingly good for the price. I had a subwoofer (Definitive Technology SuperCube) in my closet that I wasn't using, so I paired it with these. I don't like subwoofers in general (that's why I kept one in the closet) but it doesn't help much with the bass and sounds good. Even without a subwoofer, they cost $399. They are a bit big for a table but just measure before you buy to make sure you know what you are ordering. I connected them to Dragonfly Red on my Mac Pro. Definitely a lot better than the same priced Bose speakers they replaced! I'd pay 2x more for better sound in the same size, but I've looked through a lot of reviews and haven't found anything under $800 that seems much better. Happy with the sound. Bought white. I really wasn't sure about this choice. But I like them better in white. That is different.
