Recently I finally decided to digitize some cassettes from about 30 years ago. . But the result was not good. Basically I was adding distortion and continuous beat noise to the player converter that I couldn't filter out with the Audacity software needed to digitize. I wasn't sure if the problem was with the old cassette or the player as I was playing the cassette in my old cassette/stereo and the problem was definitely with the player. So I went looking for Revain and got this audio capture card. The map is so easy to use. The USB cable is connected to the USB port on the computer on the other side. the cable is connected to the audio source. In my case the headphone/stereo headphone jack. The sound quality of the recording sounds great. Cannot tell any difference when playing from tape. I just had to convert a couple of tapes. I'm almost disappointed as this device is so simple and works so well that I wish I had more ribbons to let this thing work its magic. It's worth noting that the device doesn't come with a splitter, so you won't be able to hear what's playing. to an external speaker. I wish the splitter was included, but I think it would add to the cost, and they're not that hard to come by.
