I am renting out my first apartment and was concerned that buying furniture from Amazon would make my apartment look cheap and tasteless. However, when this table arrived I was so surprised at how expensive it looked! It's bigger than I expected and it's great and it's perfect for my apartment. My only issues with this table is that it is covered in thick paper, not real wood. So I've noticed that when I kick my foot against the page, I can feel the paper lift a bit. I also noticed that after about 2 months of use the screws loosened up a bit so I had to go back and tighten them as they started to squeak. As for the countertop, which is easy to scratch, I think covering it with a clear furniture finish for added protection will solve the problem.
