For many years I carried around a large (5 inch glass lens) that came from an old overhead projector. It was probably a 3x magnification, horribly distorted but it was easy to fit in my K Unfortunately I dropped it on a hard floor and it shattered Carson needs to replace me I was skeptical about the acrylic lens design but at least it works as good as my old glass lens much sharper and clearer than that crazy thing I carried around me there is a little LED on the handle that you can use to illuminate whatever you see. I like the idea, although I'm happy to use lenses without a grip most of the time, actually I found them to be very easy to remove the mounting screw from a rectangular lens and use it without a grip Gives me the best of both worlds Otherwise seems the build quality being good at this price everything worked like a display d and I would have no problem recommending this unit to anyone who needs a flexible and easy to use magnification solution.
