This looks great in our pantry and has allowed us to use half the space all those cans used to take up and we still have room for other cans. (Three cans were used for dinner last night, so less than usual.) I can get more if I ever run out of space, we'll see. We used to have to stack cans on top of each other and they kept falling off and making a mess and we could never easily see what was in the back without having to move a pile of cans out of the way. When the shelf is full, it becomes difficult. We ended up using two containers/baskets to keep them together in one place, but it was hard to see what was on the floor! More moving lots of cans and trash cans just to be able to drag each can down to read. , and without Martha Stewart's OCD refusing to shuffle products in a column (like on a supermarket shelf), you'll have an easy time seeing what's behind something else. ;) For example, my enchilada sauce shares my tomato soup column, and maybe beef broth is behind it too. LOL - I think I just made Martha cringe. It's fairly sturdy once assembled, a bit articulated, and wobbles a bit with a little push or wiggle, so we were initially worried it wouldn't be as solid as everyone says it would be. True, but once it's in our pantry with the weight of cans on it, it's rock solid. Even thick steel with an elegant chrome finish is true to life. It doesn't look like cheap metal/wiring but definitely solid 18/8 stainless steel. This is of course not the case, so time will tell if corrosion occurs. Sizing Reference: Our shelf has 15 inches of space between shelves and this fits perfectly with at least 1 inch of headroom above the largest jar and about 1 1/2 inches to 2 inches above regular cans. The height is exactly 13 5/8 inches (13.625 inches). The depth is exactly 12.5 inches and the width to the outside edge of the shelf hooks is 16.5 inches. around where we have been storing our jars and reorganizing the shelves so we can place them on a shelf of sufficient height. Personally, I wouldn't put it on a shelf less than 14 inches tall, but I'm sure it's in a 13.75-inch space. This would leave a gap of about 1/8 inch, but since you're pulling in front to remove the can and pushing in front to place the cans on the shelves for the bottom two rows, you probably don't need more clearance at the top as well Not. Good buy. Enjoy!
