Review on Wolo 8050 Amber Expansion Surface by Samuel Blakeley

I bought these from another seller but thought it would be nice to share my experience. First of all it's good. The lights are incredibly bright, the flash patterns offer good variety, the strap length is good for a variety of uses, and all the hardware (nuts, bolts, washers) is of good quality. Then bad. My harness lands anywhere within the 18 feet they offer. Luckily I checked before installing. Initially I thought it was the switch, but after plugging in the new power switch and immediately switching flash patterns, still no luck. The light just turned off when the flash pattern change button was pressed. I emailed Wolo and received absolutely no response. I sent another email and didn't get through either. Further testing allowed me to confirm that it is indeed the wiring harness as the lights themselves work and the patterns change correctly. Looks like I'll have to create my own wiring harness if I can't find a problem with the existing wiring harness. Disappointing at the very least, especially from a supposedly reputable brand and for the price. Another minor complaint is that the L-shaped lamp arms, while well coated, are a little flimsy compared to other brands. Of course, while the lights themselves are strong, they're not that heavy, but I'm used to heavier surface mount brackets.
